Week 18: Lil Stixx

Welcome to another fun project that I did over the weekend to add to my weekly blog. A friend came over and we had lots of fun with doing some faceups. I did both my Doll Chateau Alberta and Ada. For this week  though I'm only showing my Doll Chateau Ada since my Alberta will be in the monthly Project Runway Challenge and I'll be doing 2 separate weeks for her.

First lets meet our little guy:

This was a photo taken from my box opening, he is in white resin with blue eyes. Since his little spindley legs reminded me of matchsticks, I thought why not call him sticks..so that is how he became Lil' Stixx..lol. Not terribly imaginative, although my boyfriend has kinda nicknamed him Fiddlesticks. 

I really didn't have a big plan as far as what I wanted him to look like so I just started blushing him with some tans and browns and this is what came about:

The inside lighting is making him look a little more like a creamy white but he really is a pure snow/paper white. I started with his faceup..and really like the colors that were going on it makes him look very natural looking. After adding the little dot on his forehead I thought it would be fun to add some on his chest as well, but I didn't want to go too overboard. The blue eyes were way to bright and made him buggy eyed looking so I was fortunate enough to have a pair of caramel colored eyes to put in. I'm thinking I may add some other details on the back of his antlers but for now  I'm really happy with how he turned out with my minimal faceup skills.
