So on my way to my performance last night (Saturday) I picked up my little girl and squee I wish I could have just taken her home right then and play with her and take some photos, but no time so this afternoon I took her out of her little bag and took a few photos and then decided instead of wasting the afternoon playing World of Warcraft (time for that later) I decided to take her up to the sewing room and make her a new outfit and wig...tee hee...she is the most adorable girl ever!
Before After
As I said I decided the wig just wasn't her anymore so I wanted to make a new one. I was thinking a butterscotch color or something close to the tawny down of the chicks. After looking through my faux fur scraps I decided on a nice feather look that had that nice tawny under color and some dark stripes. And of course she just demanded a new cuter outfit so she didn't look like a country bumpkin..lol.
Sooo on to the photos:
She just had to wear the butterfly wings for some of the photos..lol..she is going to be a spoiled little princess for sure. I made the dress she is wearing, its actually 2 pieces pretty much a underdress and overskirt of shorts. The overskirt is made from a recycled shirt, it matched the ruched coral/peach pretty well. She has leggings as well but I didn't get a good picture of them. (Wings are from a My Scene Barbie set)
I had some random little jewelry pieces that worked well wit the outfit. The top of the dress as you can see in a close up here is a ruched style in peachy tones. Look at those freckles!!!
Here you can see some nice shots of not only her adorable freckles on her face but also the scattering of freckles on her shoulders and back. The color and detail of the wig can be seen her as well, if you take a look back at the post earlier this week you can see the color matches pretty well to the down of the Buttercup Chicken.
A nice photo of her legs that were done in the fashion of the Buttercup in a willowy green..I really love the details and the color. You can also kinda see here leggings peeping out at the hem of her underdress.
And one last photo of her looking all cute in her new outfit and matching hat. She is ready for some summer tea party fun!
Thanks for viewing, now that I'll have a little more free time I'll be moving right along with the next weeks doll project.
